Data Management Planning Tool Launched
A Web-based, Bilingual Data Management Planning Tool Made Available to All Researchers in Canada through the Portage Network
Creating a data management plan (DMP) at the outset of a research project helps set out the parameters for how you will organize, store, share and preserve your research data during each stage of the project.
Portage, a collaborative Canadian library initiative in support of data management, has created an online bilingual tool, DMP Assistant, to assist researchers in developing plans.
This tool is your guide for best practices in data stewardship:
- Provides step-by-step assistance for completing data management plans
- Offers in-depth guidance and examples
- Allows you to review or revise plans over time
- Enables you to tailor plans for different research contexts and funder requirements
