What's Cooking in the Archives 2014
Take a step back in time and explore 18th to 20th century cuisine and all Archival & Special Collections has to offer. Now in its fifth year, What’s Cooking in the Archives has enjoyed continued success as a delicious tasting event showcasing the Archive’s extensive culinary collections.
Jason Waterfall of The Woolwich Arrow, will recreate recipes found in Archives’ robust cookbook collection using modern, local ingredients. Featured dishes this year include:
- Gingerbread, Manuscript cookbook of Mabel Jackson ca 1897 (TX714.6 ZZ1930)
- Chutnee, Recipes by Esther Mary Fox 1897 (XM1 MS A117022)
- Pulled Pork, The Woolwich Arrow
This event is made possible each year through the library’s partnership with Jason Waterfall of The Woolwich Arrow, Hospitality Services and SNAP.
The event will take place from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Wednesday November 19th, in the Academic Town Square of McLaughlin Library. All are welcome, but please arrive early as samples will go quickly!
